Most years, team Forward Assist organise a week long cycling expedition in Europe. The trip is usually 200-300 miles long and is used as a fundraiser and opportunity for veterans to utilise their map reading skills whilst improving fitness and confidence. Veterans and Corporate sponsors have taken part in the London to Paris Cycle Ride in 2015 & 2016 and the Foundation of Lights ‘Ride of Remembrance’ in 2015 a 320 mile cycle ride from Brussels to Paris. In 2017, Forward Assist cycled 250 miles from the Tyne 2 Rhine to pay our respects to all the UK forces that lost their lives during the infamous battle at Arnhem. In 2024 we are aiming to reduce social isolation via a unique cycling initiative.

“One of the key benefits of cycling is that its socially oriented, it's fun, and it gets you outside and exercising."
