Forward Assist offer free 'Pilate' Classes for veterans at the John Willie Sams Centre near Cramlington Northumberland. This is led by Jacqui Miller, who is a fully qualified Pilates instructor.  She describes the sessions as:

“Pilates aims to strengthen the core, working the abdomen, back and pelvic floor in a slow and controlled manner. It improves mobility and flexibility within the joints whilst strengthening the muscles around them improving stability and preventing injuries. Pilates also aims to improve posture by encouraging awareness of joint alignment. It is relaxing and suitable for all ages and ability levels.”
