This Falklands War Vehicle Now Has A Very Different Purpose For Veterans On Civvy Street

Salute Coffee is a new initiative which offers work experience, training and employment opportunities to military veterans in the North east of England.

Salute Coffee operates from a historic (1976) Land Rover 101, which served in the Falklands, before being converted in to a unique ‘one-stop coffee shop’. We serve delicious home-roasted coffee whilst offering barista training and employment/volunteering opportunities to veterans who struggle to find work after life in the services.

It has an added benefit of a mobile coffee roaster; from which we can roast our own craft coffee beans. This creates a sense of theatre around our offer and can even produce bespoke signature coffees for your event or activity.

As a not-for-profit coffee brand, Salute Coffee is the first of its kind in the North East of England and the first coffee based Social Enterprise to support the ex-forces community. Any profit made by Salute Coffee is reinvested into the enterprise to create jobs for service leavers or is used by Forward Assist, Veterans Charity, to deliver its invaluable veterans support activities.
