War Stories From A Nursing Home

It's thought that long term memory is the last to go so while elderly veterans might forget what was for lunch, their memories of the war remain as clear as ever. An innovative project by the charity Forward Assist, has taken artists into a nursing home, to trigger the memories of its residents and draw out their war stories. Working with elderly veterans in a care home in the North East, a photographer and writer created a series of portraits which have now been unveiled.
